- The Centre undertakes advanced multi-disciplinary studies into major hazards.
- The Centre which has received $3 M in grants has achieved international
- recognition for research into cost-effective fire safety systems or buildings.

- The successful applicant will undertake the further development of an advanced
- computer program that will predict the performance of building fire safety
- systems.

- An honours degree in engineering, computing science or a related discipline
- and experience with the development of computer models using C++ are
- essential. A research degree or experience with simulation modelling and/or
- demonstrated ability in managing projects are desirable.

- A contract of up to 12 months will be offered initially which may be renewed.

- All applicants must at least have Australian permanent residency status.

- Salary Range: A $30,310 - $40,889.
